The masterpiece of two brilliant (and sexy might i add) minds late on a wed. night…;)

*It makes me happy to see you smile,
haven’t felt this for a while.
I feel the rain drops on my fingertips,
reminds me of your scent and the taste of your sweet lips!

~Just one glance makes me weak,
I get lost in your kiss.
Your touch makes me anything but meek,
can’t deny it’s sheer bliss!

*I’d sing to you by the fire,
snuggle you like warm attire,
hold you close oh so tight,
sweet tender kisses through the night!

~Your snuggles would always be my preferred choice of attire,
especially on naked thursdays.
Of your passionate kisses and sweet glances I would never tire,
even on endless days.

*And now I’m frantic,
cause she’s in romantic.
Always the mind games never sincere,
so Imma keep it cool and switch back to the “player.”

~Games are always what you make of them.
The game’s over when you find a gem.
By acknowledging the game you lose automatically.
The best secret is to play discretely.

*She surely toys with my heart.
Yo-yo’s it side to side.
Now can I really trust her?
How much of this is plagarized?
She reads it on a bumper sticker,
paraphrases it to lure love,
my heart’s already been broken,
now she too will have to answer HIM above!

~Of insincerity and heartbreak you accuse me.
That’s unjust and painful I’ll admit.
It burns within and stings like a bee.
Carelessly this tapestry of bitter love is knit!

~If it’s trust you want,
look beyond the words,
remember not to flaunt,
and find beauty in even nerds!

*It’s just how I am it’s all consequently,
They all left like a hooptie,
but I’d treat you like a Bentley!

~Bentley indeed!
Would you take me out often for others to admire,
or keep me caged up and later sell me to the highest buyer?
Perhaps you would no longer sing to me by the fire,
but only drive me with your every fleeting desire!

*I’m not looking for beauty,
I’ve dated my share of models.
Just honesty, trust, and purity of heart,
Not figurines of coke bottles!

~Beauty takes many forms.
Beauty I speak of surpasses all the norms.
It’s the beauty within you’re looking for.
It must grow within YOU first so don’t make it a chore!

While Mumbai mourns…

The events of the past week have really left me shell shocked!

This is a side of human nature most dreaded by everyone was now witnessed by millions Mumbaikars from point blank range. So how do we analyze such actions? We are not a United States…an island…a super power…a global player with the capability and technology to send in troops to another country like Iraq or Afghanistan in the name of democracy! So I ask why US? Why should a country which the most of the western world still claims to bind under the shackles of snake charmers, call center support, and may I add “developing and third world” become a victim to an atrocity of this nature? Why should we have to experience a 9/11 customized just for this beloved city of our- Mumbai? What makes my Mumbai so ripe for such an attack?

Here’s my take:

A country with a booming population, an unstable economy, corrupt government and not to mention the underline blame shifting game between Hindus and Muslims in every possible skirmish: we make the perfect composition of explosives waiting to be ignited! We provide the perfect recipe for any outsider to devour our unity!

And now we want to unite!

Well the ship has sailed…lives have already been lost and how many more will it take for us to understand that we should have united when we were given the greatest gift any nation could have received: freedom.

Uncle Ben’s lines to Peter Parker now echo volumes –
“With great power comes greater responsibility”

Needless to say we have clearly abused our powers and neglected our responsibilities. We are unable to bridge differences is casts and creeds and unable to elect a government to do the same, our country’s infrastructure, our traffic signals which are a joke, our level of pollution and substandard living and level of illiteracy are a clear reflection of the same !

So what do we do NOW!

We unite for the weeks to follow till the memories of those 53 hours of turmoil are pushed back and our daily necessities for a new car or watching SRK’s movie become the center and circumference of our lives! We forget what a city we claim to love so much has been through the moment the Khans unite for an on screen item number in a movie that’s probably funded by the underworld. And then we will blame the media for saturating our brains with sensationalism rather than “real news” when we clearly have control over our remotes and opt into Bollywood RSS feeds.

The reel tragedy…

As the city goes through such a great loss there are directors and script writers racing to one another to pen down ideas on the best way to capture the “heroism” of this atrocity. Bollywood is just waiting to cash in for commercial success on the loss the city has borne!

But will a Filmfare to a Hrithik Roshan or a Sanjay Dutt really compensate for the son, the soldier, the firefighter, the Mumbaikar this city has lost?

Wake Up Mumbai!
